In 2019, Hope / No Fear founder James Yang went to La Gonâve Island in Haiti on a medical mission trip with his team from Onnuri Church in New Jersey. There he found people living in extreme poverty where all resources are scarce. Food, drinking water, land, paved roads, schools, and hospitals; everything that is essential to people’s well being is scarce. He visited a poor village and found kids barely having one meal a day, and families living in small tents where their home can’t fit everyone at night so they had to take shifts to sleep inside their tents when it rains. As the COVID-19 situation is getting worse, transportation by land, sea, and the sky is being blocked and the people in La Gonâve Island in Haiti are losing their livelihood, thus dying in starvation and malnutrition.

In these dark times, Hope / No Fear began to protect the lives of others and give hope. Our first mission is to protect the lives of people in La Gonâve Island, Haiti. For every $1 of profit we make, we’re giving away 50 cents to contribute to purchasing bags of rice ($23) and cans of cooking oil ($5) to feed the people in Haiti. Our team is partnering with Oak Tree Ministry in La Gonâve Island, Haiti to make this happen.
